John Williams has been making music longer than most of us have been alive. The octogenarian composer has won 24 Grammy Awards, 5 Oscars, and 4 Golden Globes. Needless to say, he is the composer of an entire generation of moviegoers. Among his many accomplishments is the now iconic orchestral arrangements of Star Wars.

That opening credits scroll theme music that you can’t ever get out of your head? You have John Williams to thank for that. And now, we also have him to thank for theme park music. Disney and Lucasfilm have released John Williams’ new Star Wars music exclusively for Galaxy’s Edge, so that we can listen to it before the parks even open to the public!

The music has the same iconic feel of the original Star Wars films, with a modern infusion and sense of wonder that people get when at a Disney theme park. The aura of a galaxy far, far way is felt throughout the orchestration. John Williams’ brilliant work can be heard on the big screen, the small screen, and now in an immersive new theme park at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
