Quick on the heels of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it seems that we have even more theme park news and excitement headed our way. The newest part just opened, and guests are flocking and raving. But there’s more! Disney announced that they are continuing with the Marvel Land expansion area at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, to be opened in 2020.

As reported by The Los Angeles Times, Disney’s permit was approved, which reveals a few rough details. Disneyland’s California Adventure theme park will continue to expand the already begun work on Marvel Land where A Bug’s Life Land used to live.

The new area should have many of the recognized Disneyland staples: meet-and-greets with Marvel characters and shops with Marvel merchandise (2,071 feet of merchandise space according to the permit linked above).

Additionally, this brand new Marvel Land will feature some sort of Spider-Man-themed adventure, a microbrewery(!), and a whole lot more that we’ll just have to wait to see and hear about. As of right now, the space is under construction and has partition walls that say “Stark Industries” on them.

The Marvel Land expansion at Disneyland’s California Adventure is expected to open sometime next year, in 2020. Hopefully, we can expect more info and deets about the new area at the D23 Expo this year. It’s being held in Anaheim, California from August 23-25, 2019.

What do you think about the new area? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter!

Have a marvelous day!
