Where Will Disneyland Food and Wine Festival 2020 Take Place?

The Disneyland Food and Wine Festival 2020 takes place almost entirely inside of Disney’s California Adventure theme park in Anaheim, CA.

On the map above ☝️☝️☝️, you can see a blue dot (looks almost like a golf ball on a tee to me, tbh) toward the left-hand side, near the middle. That blue dot shows you exactly where to find the food and wine kiosks and booths.

In the map below, you can see a zoomed in version of the same map. Here, you can see the same blue dot along with the park attractions nearby.

And below, here in the super close up version of the map, you can see Goofy’s Sky School and the Paradise Garden Grill sitting right next to it. You can’t miss it!

Remember how I said the fest takes place almost entirely within the walls of California Adventure?

Well, that’s because this year some of the restaurants in Downtown Disney are serving up a few tasty plates of their own, exclusively for the festival.

(See the next section below for the details on these dishes and all the rest of the festival offerings.)

That’s where the 2020 Disneyland Food and Wine Festival will take place. Now, let’s get into the juicy stuff – literally!

What’s on the Food and Wine Menu at the 2020 Disneyland Food and Wine Festival?

I’m so glad you asked, because it’s going to be awesome.

The Disney food and wine fest is seriously one of the best parts of the whole year at Disneyland.

Personally, I love it, because it comes right after a ton of the big holidays and just before the hot summer season. The California Adventure Food and Wine Festival bridges the gap between two crazy party seasons with, well, an awesome party. And better yet, you don’t normally have to worry about Disney blockout dates either!

View all of the food menus in the pictures below right here.

Note: Many more photos to come after my wife and I actually attend the festival on opening weekend, March 1st. Let me know if you’ll be there, too!

Now, for the menus.

There are a lot of menus available for the 2020 Festival. Like, I mean, A LOT.

So, since all those menu items are listed in a long post on the main Disney Parks Blog website, I decided to make it a lot easier for you.

I created 3 FREE PRINTABLES that include all of the marketplace menus for the 2020 Disneyland Food and Wine Festival.

Yep, all 13 of them!

There’s so much food and wine, beer and mixed drinks, and everything else that it doesn’t fit comfortably on one sheet. So, I made 3 printable menus for you to download for free and take with you on your trip to the parks.

Just click on a menu, save it to your phone, tablet, or computer, and take all of them with you to the park!

Do I Need a Reservation to Eat in California Adventure During the Festival?

No, you DO NOT need a reservation to eat at the booths and kiosks in the marketplace during the festival. That being said, I’d totally get a Food and Wine Disney MaxPass if they sold it!

You will need a ticket or annual pass that’s valid at California Adventure, but not an additional food ticket (unless you want to buy the Sip and Savor Pass, which I’ll discuss in detail below…).

At the stand-alone restaurants within Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney, however, the standard rules will still apply.

AKA, if you want to eat at Blue Bayou and watch the Pirates of the Caribbean riders float by, you will definitely need a reservation (in fact, you should maybe go get it right now!).

BUT, you might want to purchase a Sip and Savor Pass…

What Is the Sip and Savor Pass? And Where Do I Get One?

The info about the Tasting Passport and Sip & Savor Pass is pretty detailed. There’s a big chunk of information on the Disney Parks Blog website about it.

Here are all the important things you should know about the Sip and Savor Pass. (Disney Parks Blog)

  1. The Festival Tasting Passport – This has a menu for all the marketplaces, along with info about dates and times for events, merch, and other fun festival stuff.
  2. The Sip and Savor Pass – This is a special festival-only pass that lets you try food from marketplace kiosks throughout the whole festival. It comes on a souvenir lanyard with credentials and 8 (eight) pull-off tabs.
  3. Pull-Off Tabs – The Sip and Savor pull-off tabs are basically coupons. Each one can be used as payment in exchange food or drink, except for alcoholic items and souvenir pieces.
  4. Important Notes – Your pull-off tabs can be used all at once or over multiple park visits. Also, each of the pull-off tabs must remain attached to your pass until the moment that you use it for payment.
  5. Where to Buy Sip and Savor Pass – Elias & Co, Festival Gifts and Marketplaces, Kingswell Camera Shop, Rushin’ River Outfitters, Seaside Souvenirs, Sip and Savor Cart, and Hollywood Land’s Studio Store.

Will There Be Special Festival Merchandise in the Shops?

There is so much festival merchandise that Disneyland created a “Merchandise Menu” on the Disney Parks Blog. The photos from that blog post are shown in the gallery below. ???

Take a look at the photos here to get a sense of the brand new merch available at the 2020 Disneyland Food and Wine Festival.

Michael Ramirez, Editorial Content Editor at Disneyland Resort, writes that the merchandise can be found at:

  • Festival Gifts (on the Performance Corridor, near Seaside Souvenirs)
  • Studio Store
  • Elias & Co.
  • *All of these are inside Disney California Adventure*

Lots of great merch, and tons of places to find it!

Can Kids Come to the Disney Food and Wine Fest?

Events for Kids at Food and Wine Festival [Source: Disneyland]

Yes, 100%. Children are totally welcome at the festival and all over the Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks, just as they normally would!

During the festival, Disney has some fun activities the whole family can enjoy. One option is  “Jammin’ Chefs,” where some of your kids’ most beloved Disney characters perform “some cooking themed musical fun“.

Disney also writes on their blog: “If the kids want to take control in the kitchen, they can with Chef Goofy at Jr. Chef. On select days, Kids can create their own treats with the supervision of Chef Goofy at the Hollywood Backlot Stage.”

There will also be craft stations around for kids and families to enjoy together throughout the festival area in California Adventure.

Of course, only adults over the age of 21+ can drink wine or beer or other alcohol.

Are There Any Special Rides for the Food and Wine Festival This Year?

Yes, there is one special ride this year.

“Soarin’ Around the World” transforms into “Soarin’ Over California” for a very limited time! Get a chance to experience the old school (and more local) ride in place of the newer (global) attraction.

See below for both versions of this famous ride at Disneyland’s California Adventure theme park.

Do They Offer Any Tours, Seminars, or Wine-Tasting Sessions?

Yes! In fact, they have all 3! Read about all the fun adult activities below.

NEW! Disney Culinary Adventure Tour – On both Wednesdays and Thursdays every week of the festival, you can join a behind-the-scenes tour of a kitchen in Disneyland’s California Adventure. Disney writes, “Learn from guest chefs as they prepare menus and see how the festival comes to life! “

Tours, Seminars, and Wine-Tasting Sessions at Food and Wine Festival 2020 [Source: Disneyland]

Winemaker Reception – Here, you have the opportunity to taste great food and wine pairings, while a pro winemaker details the experience at Carthay Circle Restaurant.

Tasting Options (Dates & Times):

  • Skywalker Vineyards – Mar. 20th
  • Fess Parker Winery – Mar. 27th
  • Silverado Vineyard – Apr. 10th

Winemaker Dinner – Enjoy a full 5-course meal with wine pairings at Steakhouse 55 with a personal vintner (AKA, a winemaker / wine merchant). Only available March 18th

Wine, Beer & Spirits Seminars – On every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the course of the festival, you can explore Sonoma Terrace. Listen to experts during seminars on beer, wine, and other spirits. They’ll have winemakers, brewmasters, and distillers to walk you through what you’re drinking, so you can learn and quench your thirst at the same time.

End of the Tour

This has been quite a tour. I can’t wait to actually go to the park next month and enjoy the Disneyland Food and Wine Festival 2020.

Are you going? I hope we run into each other (I mean, without spilling any wine…). See you there!

Have a magical day!
