Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Details

In 2021, Walt Disney World Resort will bring us a new and magical Star Wars vacation experience through the Star Wars Hotel called Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

Thomas Smith, the Editorial Content Director of Disney Parks, describes the hotel this way:

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be a new, first-of-its-kind vacation experience where guests will check in for a two-night adventure aboard a glamorous starship. Once onboard, guests will interact with characters and become active participants in stories that unfold around them on their galactic journey.

Smith announced that in 2019, in connection to the D23 Expo.

As mentioned by Smith, the Star Wars Hotel will offer guests a 2-night, all-immersive adventure.

Once the guests arrive at the terminal, they will enter a Launch Pod, and “blast off into space.” 

The Launch Pod will then dock “with a glamorous starcruiser known for exotic expeditions in a galaxy far, far away.”

In other words, the Launch Pod will lead them to the hotel, which is shaped as an intergalactic spaceship called Halcyon.

Sounds extraordinary, I know!

The heart of the Halcyon, which is the hotel atrium, is described as “a welcoming place where crew and passengers gather.”

Boredom won’t have ‘space’ here. Get it? 😉

Guests can even “operate the ship’s navigation and defense systems under the crew’s guidance” in the atrium.

They will also meet Star Wars characters there!

Seriously, everything just sounds so fascinating!

Star Wars Hotel Amenities and Experiences

In addition, the hotel will feature exclusive amenities and experiences. 

Guests can “experience the traditional art of wielding a lightsaber.”

Now, you and I can finally put our skills to the test!

The hotel’s passenger cabins will also have their own window into space “with a view of spectacular ships and galactic sights.”

In short, it will make you feel like you’re really in a giant spaceship!

How cool is that?

If you want to chill, you can always go to the Silver C Lounge and sip on a beverage. 

Young or old, you’re welcome in this warm, stylish, and inviting lounge. 

Some guests will also be allowed to take a sneak peek of the Engineering Room, which is a crew-only area.

There, guests can “discover the inner workings of the ship’s systems.”

If you ask me, a couple of days won’t be enough to enjoy everything. I might need a week or two here!

In a Nutshell

Obviously, the adventure in this new hotel will be action-packed and fun-filled.

Putting up a Star Wars hotel is a great strategy for Disney to satisfy the hearts of any Star Wars fan…including me. 🙂

Plus, it’s an excellent addition to the out-of-this-world experience brought by the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

There’s no specific date yet, but once Disney announces it, we’ll bring the news to you right away.
