Some Disney Plus users are seeing a frustrating error code message on their screens that says: “Disney Plus is unavailable in your region”. For some, this is simply an issue of Disney Plus being down right now in their country (check here for updated server status). But, if that’s not you and you’re still asking, “Why is Disney+ not available in my region?” then you’re in the right place. Luckily, there is an easy fix for most problems with Disney Plus giving you an Error Code 73 or Error Code 11 (or this one, or a few others). The solutions to all these problems are right here!

Disney Plus Not Available in Your Region

If you’re here, it’s probably because you’re seeing a message like this one on your TV, computer, or phone screen:

“Disney Plus is not available in your region.”

But the question is this…

Why are you seeing that error code message?

And…

What can you do to fix that error code message?

Thankfully, we’ve got the answers for you to both questions right here.

How to Fix Disney Plus Not Available in My Region

Here’s what you need to do, in order from start to finish to fix this issue easily and quickly, so you can get back to watching your favorite movies and shows on Disney+.

1. Is your internet is working properly?

One reason that you might be experiencing this Disney Plus availability issue comes down to simple internet connection.

In other words…

Do a quick check of your computer, router, and modem to see if the internet is working wherever you are.

If you’re at home, this is a relatively easy thing to check and fix by simply restarting your router and/or modem, or potentially calling your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

But, if you’re in a public place like a library, airport, or coffee shop, you may have to find someone to help you answer this question.

2. Are you using a VPN?

Another reason that your Disney+ connection might be disconnected and showing as “Disney Plus not available in your region,” is due to use of a VPN.

For people using a VPN, you need to turn it off in order to continue enjoying Disney Plus, according to the official help page.

If you aren’t sure whether your home or business uses a VPN, check with whoever controls the internet in your space.

They should be able to let you know and turn it off for you.

Once this is done, you should no longer get the “Disney Plus unavailable” error code message anymore.

3. Are you currently traveling?

If you’re currently traveling, your Disney+ account may not work.

Here’s why…

Disney Plus is not currently available in every country around the world.

Due to a wide variety of reasons, such as movie and streaming rights, local countries where you’re vacationing or visiting for business or family reasons, may not have access to Disney Plus quite yet.

If that’s the case, then you will unfortunately have to wait until you get back home to use your Disney+ account to stream movies and shows.

This is one doesn’t really have a “fix” (other than traveling back to your home country, of course).

4. Is your ISP reporting an incorrect location?

This one won’t apply to most people, since it’s pretty rare, but your Internet Service Provider might be supplying the wrong location for your internet connection.

Disney Plus customer support puts it simply: “There could also be an issue with your Internet service provider reporting an incorrect location.”

You can check this by going to an IP website, such as this one: What Is My IP? Once you land on that page, look at the city, state, and country that your IP is reporting.

If it’s different from where you actually live, then reach out to them to see what’s going on.

You’ll probably need to just call or chat with them online to get it fixed.

5. Are you trying to a watch something that’s not available in your country yet?

There is one other problem that you might encounter.

Due to streaming and movie rights around the world, you may come across a movie or TV show that isn’t available to stream in your country quite yet.

While there’s no real “fix” to this one, chances are good that it will become available to stream at some point.

But, even if it isn’t, you might be able to buy it online somewhere like Amazon.

Again, if all else fails, you can also check if Disney Plus is down right now here.

Or you can call Disney Plus customer service.

Good luck, and have a magical day!
