SPOILER ALERT
This article contains spoilers for the new Book of Boba Fett show on Disney+.

In the TV show Parks and Recreation on NBC, Patton Oswalt’s character 100% predicts the opening to the new Book of Boba Fett series on Disney Plus. We’re talking about some Simpsons level prediction power, and it’s all the internet can talk about right now. Here’s everything you need to know.

Patton Oswalt & The Book of Boba Fett

There’s a new Star Wars king in town…

And it’s Boba freaking Fett.

This guy is a bounty hunter, sure, but he’s also about as rad can you can possibly get.

As far as his next-level skills and commitment to respect and the code of the Bounty Hunters, he’s pretty much without peer.

Nobody does it like Boba does it.

But here’s the thing…

Patton Oswalt’s character in Parks and Rec predicted all of this years ago.

In the scene, Oswalt’s character (Garth Blunden) goes on a filibuster rant, and he has the following incredibly accurate prediction in his monologue:

We pan down from the twin suns of Tatooine. We are now close on the mouth of the Sarlacc pit. After a beat, the gloved Mandalorian armor gauntlet of Boba Fett grabs on to the sand outside the Sarlacc pit, and the feared bounty hunter pulls himself from the maw of the sand beast.

Parks and Recreation (NBC)

How insane is that?!

And the beauty of this moment is absolutely not passing Patton by. He’s been commenting on it on his Twitter account (see below).

Additionally, you can see that Lights, Camera, Pod cut together a little video showing how eerily (or hilariously?) accurate that his prediction actually is with the finished premier episode that’s now on to stream on Disney Plus.

What do you think?

Did Parks and Recreation just take the mantle from The Simpsons?

Have a magical day!
