Disney Plus is a huge fan favorite in our house, but everyone once in a while I like to go on a “subscription diet” and just cancel subscriptions.
If we REALLY need them, my logic is that we can sign up next time we really want to watch something.

This guide will walk you through the process of unsubscribing from Disney Plus with ease.
Before proceeding with the cancellation process, ensure you have access to the following:
- Your Disney Plus account credentials.
- The device you used to subscribe to Disney Plus (either a computer, iOS device, Android device, or your Amazon/Roku account).
Unsubscribing on a Web Browser
If you initially signed up for Disney Plus using a PC, here are the steps to cancel your subscription:
Step 1: Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Disney Plus website.

Unsubscribing on iOS Devices
If you subscribed to Disney Plus through the app on your Apple device, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the ‘Settings’ app on your device and tap on your Name/Apple ID.
Step 2: From the options presented, select ‘Subscriptions’.
Step 3: From the list of your subscriptions, find and tap on ‘Disney Plus’.
Step 4: Finally, click on ‘Cancel Subscription’.
Unsubscribing on Android Devices
For those who signed up using the Disney Plus Android app, here’s how to cancel:
Step 1: Open the Google Play Store app on your device.
Step 2: Tap on the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
Step 3: From the options, select ‘Subscriptions’, then find and tap on ‘Disney Plus’.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Cancel subscription’ to complete the process.
Unsubscribing via Amazon
If you subscribed to Disney Plus through your Amazon account, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to your Amazon account and click on ‘Account & Lists’.
Step 2: Scroll down to ‘Memberships and Subscriptions’ and click on ‘Other subscriptions’.
Step 3: Find Disney Plus in the list and click on ‘Cancel’.
Unsubscribing via Roku
Roku users can cancel their subscription through either their Roku remote or the web app. Here’s how:
Using Roku Remote
Step 1: Press the ‘Home’ button on your Roku remote and navigate to Disney Plus.
Step 2: Press the ‘*’ (asterisk) button on your remote.
Step 3: In the pop-up window, click on ‘Manage your subscription’.
Step 4: Finally, select ‘Cancel Subscription’.
Using Roku Web App
Step 1: Log in to your Roku account using your preferred web browser.
Step 2: Click on your profile avatar in the top-right corner and then, click on ‘My Account’.
Step 3: Click on ‘Manage your subscriptions’.
Step 4: Find Disney Plus in the list of your subscribed channels and click on ‘Cancel subscription’.
What Happens After Unsubscribing?
Following your cancellation, you’ll still be able to access Disney Plus until the end of your current subscription period. However, don’t expect a refund for any unused days of your subscription, as Disney Plus doesn’t offer partial refunds. The good news is, there’s no cancellation fee involved.
It’s important to note that cancelling your Disney Plus subscription doesn’t delete your Disney account. This account, created when you first sign up, is used across all Disney websites. If you’re considering deleting this account altogether, read on.
Deleting your Disney Account
If you wish to completely remove your digital presence from Disney’s records, follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit Disney’s Privacy Controls page.
Step 2: Sign in using the link under ‘Manage your registration account’.
Step 3: Here, you can either modify your notification preferences or completely cancel your Disney account.
Remember, deleting your Disney account won’t automatically cancel your Disney Plus subscription. Always ensure to cancel your subscription before deleting your account.
