If you’re a fan of the Artemis Fowl books, then you probably already know that the movie adaptation is coming to Disney Plus. In fact, it’s live on the streaming platform right now!
The film adaptation of the Artemis Fowl books series by Eoin Colfer released on Disney Plus June 12th, 2020.
Originally, the movie was scheduled to be released in movie theaters everywhere.
However, the global outbreak required Disney to push back the film’s release.
Eventually, the producers at Disney decided to put the movie on Disney Plus instead for home video entertainment.
Here’s some fun fact trivia related to the title character of the movie for you:
Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, the Moon, and chastity.

That’s pretty cool.
I always love learning little tidbits, especially when they relate back to Greek mythology.
There’s just something truly epic about those stories.
Though I’ve read snippets from the first book, I have yet to see the movie. That being said, I plan to watch the film on Disney Plus, so check back here soon for my review of the movie.

With the release straight to home video, I’m curious to see this one and find out what real Artemis Fowl book lovers and fans think of it.
As with every book to movie adaptation, there’s always some that will think the book is better, and another group that says the movie is better.
Which camp do you see yourself in for Artemis Fowl?
