Disney is remaking the classic story of Peter Pan in the new live-action Peter Pan and Wendy movie. 2021 is the expected release date year for this film, and Jude Law is the featured actor and star of the movie, along with Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell. At this time, there is currently no established date set for the release of the Peter Pan and Wendy movie.

2021, however, is the year we’re expecting this film to come out in movie theaters, based on what info is available right now.

There was a rumor that Joaquin Phoenix would be cast as Captain Hook and Mr. Darling. If he was offered the part, he decided to turn the role down.

Personally, I think Jude Law is great in everything, so I’m excited to see him take on this fun and iconic part in Peter Pan lore.

The new live-action movie remake of the J.M. Barrie classic children’s novel is still currently in pre-production.

At this stage, the film is going through planning, casting, script and story work, and much else to get the production stages on its feet when the time comes.

As such, there’s really no major plot outline or teasers to speak of.

The closest we’ll get for now is the IMDb page, which lists this as the official description:

Live-action adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale of a boy who wouldn’t grow up and recruits three young siblings in London to join him on a magical adventure to the enchanted Neverland island.

As far as a director, David Lowery, the director of Disney’s Pete’s Dragon, is set to helm the movie.

Mr. Lowery and Toby Halbrooks co-wrote the script. James Whitaker and Adam Borba are producers on the film.

The score is said to feature music from the modern classical composer Oliver Wallace, who died in 1963. It’s not yet known who will compose the new score for the movie.
