The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is in the news again, but fans aren’t going to be happy about it. It looks like we’re going to have some more Marvel movies delayed in 2022. The list includes fan favorites like Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and even non-Marvel movies like Indiana Jones 5 (currently untitled). Here are all the updated release dates you need to know.
Marvel Movies Delayed
There are a lot of questions around the MCU right now.
So, just to be ultra clear…
Are Marvel movies delayed again? Yes, some movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are being delayed for the film release year of 2022.
OK, now that’s out of the way.
You’re probably wondering…
Which Marvel movies are being delayed? Right now, the updated movie release schedule includes the following films:
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
- Thor: Love and Thunder
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
- The Marvels
- Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Marvel Movie Release Schedule for 2022
If you include Indiana Jones 5, then there are even more movies that are being delayed at the moment by Disney and Marvel Studios.
In other words, there’s a lot to keep track of here for fans of Marvel and Disney films.
Thankfully, we have the new Marvel movie release schedule for you right here:
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness — from March 25th to May 6th
- Thor: Love and Thunder — from May 6th to July 8th
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — from July 8th to November 11th
- The Marvels — from November 11th to February 17th
- Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania — July 28th, 2023 (the previous release date of an “Untitled Marvel” film)
AKA, a lot of great Marvel movies delayed at the moment.
As you can see, each of the MCU releases are essentially moving into the original release spot of the following movie.
The good news…
All of these movies are still coming out, and they’re coming out in the same order as before.
It’s only the actual movie release dates that have changed due to the Marvel movies delayed by Disney right now.
Marvel Movie Release Schedule 2021
More good news…
The rest of the 2021 Marvel movie release schedule is staying the same:
- Eternals — November 5th, 2021
- Spider-Man: No Way Home — December 17th, 2021
- Hawkeye — November 24th, 2021 (on Disney+)
The same goes for 2023’s GOTG release:
- Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 still comes out on May 5th, 2023
P.S. The new Indiana Jones 5 release date is now June 30, 2023. It has been pushed back a full 11 months from its original release date of July 29, 2022.
