I’ll be honest: I’m not the most talented person at drawing in the whole world, but that has never kept me from looking for Disney characters to draw. In fact, I’ve also been known to flip through my fair share of Disney coloring books and Disney coloring pages as well.
These days though, there’s a huge amount of resources available in blog posts, on YouTube, and in drawing books made by Disney, Marvel, and others to teach you (and me!) how to draw all of our favorite characters.
This means that no matter who you are, whether or not you’re good with pencils and crayons and drawing paper, you can learn how to draw Disney characters from the comfort of your own bedroom, living room, kitchen, or even by the pool!
The Best Time to Draw Disney Characters!
In other words, there has never been a better time to find the cute Disney characters to draw that you care about most.
Even better, I’ve done all the hard work for you! I’ve combed the internet and found all the best resources for how to draw a Disney character(s).
Disney characters (easy to draw, I promise!) are just so fun to illustrate on your own that you’ll want to try your hand at as many as possible.
Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be a pro in no time!

List of Easy Disney Characters to Draw
Learning to draw might seem a little bit overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! There’s so many great tutorials that can show you how to do it easily, even if you have no experience at all.
In other words, this page is for people at all skill levels, from trained illustrators all the way to people that have never picked up a drawing pencil before!
In fact, a lot of cute Disney characters are very easy to draw, with those classic Disney eyes we all know and love!
Guess what? Those are all the ones we’re going to focus on in this post.

This first one is AMAZING. Like, truly awesome.
This artist on YouTube shows you how to draw famous cartoon characters, like Mickey Mouse, from numbers!
It’s literally a paint-by-numbers (or draw–from-numbers, I should say) situation, and they do such a great job with it.

How to Draw Stitch
Now, for one of the all-time favorite Disney characters to draw… Stitch! From the classic and beloved Disney movie, Lilo and Stitch.

How to Draw Olaf
Alright, this is one of my personal favorite Disney characters to draw! Olaf!
Quick story before we begin: I once met one of the Disney animators that actually worked on Olaf for the first Frozen movie. In fact, he also did some of the voiceover work when Josh Gad wasn’t available. He drew me a quick, personalized drawing that I gave to my little sister as a gift. She and I both love Olaf so, so very much. It was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget.
Now, it’s our turn! We get to draw Olaf! Easy, step-by-step directions, video, and photos. Let’s do it!

How to Draw Princess Ariel from The Little Mermaid
From Mickey and Minnie, to Stitch and Olaf, we now turn to the Disney Princesses!
Among the countless Disney characters to draw, there are obviously a whole lot of Disney princesses. Naturally, we can’t cover how to draw every Disney princess in this one blog article.
BUT, we are going to learn how to draw 3 Disney princesses. The first one we’re going to draw is Princess Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
The version of Ariel from The Little Mermaid movie is a little harder to draw, so this one has a few different options.
The first version is from Draw So Cute and the second comes from DramaticParrot, both on YouTube. They do an amazing job of showing how to draw Princess Ariel with step by step directions that are easy to follow.

How to Draw Ariel: Lifelike, Movie Version
This next Ariel drawing lesson is more of a challenge (the one I promised when we got started!).
If you want, slow the video class down by pausing it as much as you need to. That way you watch each step in slow-motion and follow along perfectly with this Disney character to draw tutorial.

How to Draw Elsa from Frozen
With Frozen and Frozen 2 both out now, the world has been completely taken by (winter) storm! If your family is anything like mine, you’re in love with this world and these wonderful characters (like Olaf, above!).
So, let’s now look at how to draw Elsa from the Frozen series, then we’ll learn how to draw Anna, too.

Not only do you learn illustration, but you can gain a whole new appreciation for amazing animation.
Just think about what the Disney animators and the Disney animation team does for each and every Disney and Pixar film! It’s amazing how they do what they do.
