The TV show will come out on Disney’s streaming service sometime in 2021.

Who Exactly Is the Star Wars “Bad Batch”?

You might be wondering, “What is the Clone Wars Bad Batch?” Or “Who is the Bad Batch in Star Wars?”

According to the official Star Wars canon, this is who they are:

They call themselves the Bad Batch, but the motley crew that makes up Clone Force 99 boasts an astounding 100 percent success rate and skills unseen in any other clone troopers. Adept at working together, Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Crosshair use their unique talents and specialized physiology to execute extraordinary solutions on the battlefield. And after rescuing the clone trooper Echo from Separatist captivity, they welcome the cybernetic soldier into their fold.

What Else Do We Know About Star Wars: The Bad Batch?

Here’s how StarWars.com describe the upcoming show:

The series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch — a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army — each possess a singular exceptional skill, which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. In the post-Clone War era, they will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose.

StarWars.com

Again, this sounds pretty incredible, coming on the heels of the fan-favorite Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series show on the Disney channels and Disney Plus.

According to Agnes Chu, the senior VP of Content at Disney Plus, “While The Clone Wars may have come to its conclusion, our partnership with the groundbreaking storytellers and artists at Lucasfilm Animation is only beginning.  We are thrilled to bring Dave Filoni’s vision to life through the next adventures of the Bad Batch.”

Agnes Chu’s comments come directly from StarWars.com.
