The filmed version of Hamilton was initially scheduled for release in movie theaters in October of 2021.

But, with the current nature of the global environment, Disney decided to shift gears in a big way.

Disney and Lin-Manuel Miranda opted to make this amazing moment in musical theatre history available on Disney Plus around the world in July of 2020.
